schnauzer agression

Question
I have a 4 year old male miniature schnauzer that we have had since he was about 5 months old. He has a tendency to bark and bark when people walk by with or without dogs, and also when he is in the back yard at squirrels, rabbits, and the people walking by. He has run through his electric fence before. Lately he escaped out the front door which is not secured with the electric on multiple occasions. He will not come when called and just runs and runs. A week or so ago he did one of his escapes out the front door and ran down the street, started barking at a man walking his 2 miniature schnauzers, then proceeded to try and bite one of them on the leg. I do not know what to do to make him stop this behavior with other dogs and the barking. We may have to give him up if we can not get him to be less loud and aggressive. What can we do?

Answer
You need to get your dog into on-going obedience classes and start working with him every single day; practice "Nothing in Life is Free" with him. http://k9deb.com/nilif.htm  If he is not neutered, have that done. Good dogs are made, not born.
