akita fetility

i have been breeding akitas for about 8 years .i have a nice black and grey female named china 3.5 years old. she only comes into season for 1 or 2 days at the most . i have taken her to 3 male dogs but they are not that interested in her so i have had no success in having puppies with her . someone said this might have something to do with a thyroid problem . what do you think ? she has just started to mult and when she gets her new coat then maybe she will come into season . is there a way of makeing her season longer or stronger ? so one of these silly males gets the hint .

If she hasn't had blood work or a physical done recently, then that might not be a bad idea, and they can check her thyroid levels when they do it.  I don't know of any medication that can make their cycle last longer.  If you aren't having any luck getting the males interested in her, and you really want to breed her, then you can always try artificial insemination and see if that works.
