puppy anxiety

I am moving soon and I'm afraid my puppy will be nervous about the new house. He is a 5 month old beagle named shadow. I've had him since he was 7 weeks old. I asked a question earlier about how to properly discipline him. I was wondering should he become nervous or anxious about the new house, how can I ease that for him? I 'm teaching him to stay off the bed but should I allow him to sleep in my bed with me for one night to ease his worries and fears? I'm nervous too and having him by my side usually makes me feel better. am I doing this more for me or him? lol. thanks take care.

Angela..no do not put the dog on the bed..that is creating worse problems. What you should do is bring the dog to the house a couple of times if you can so that when you move over, he is more familiar. It will take 3-4 days for the dog to adjust, but he will have your scent there and should adjust fairly quickly. good luck
