Are there any public swimming pools where dogs can swim with humans?

I have not heard of any, and due to liability issues, I doubt that there are any. Most public swimming areas won't allow dogs for cleanliness and health reasons. I mean, who wants to have to watch where they are stepping in bare feet because some idiot owner didn't pick up after his dog??? A handful always manage to spoil it for the rest of us.

As it is, most parks, *if* they do allow dogs at all, require them to be on leash. Dog parks are a great step forward for those dog owners who want to get out and have a good time with their dogs in an "open" area. It is up to us to police our own dogs, and to insure that others do the same with theirs by offering them a "baggie" for pickup, if needed. Dog ownership is getting to be more and more difficult every day as the "anti" people push for more laws restricting dogs.

Gone are the "good ol' days" of my youth when I used to walk to a nearby public beach with my German shepherd where we would swim for hours and dive off the public raft.
