dogs habit of humping

Hello...I have a puppy named Lucas, he's a bichon and is only like 2-3 months old. He just got the habit of humping his favorite stuffed animal, and I was told this was bad and he could get sick...is this true?

Dear Vane,
I've never heard of a dog or pup getting sick from humping. It's harmless health wise - but I'd focus on kindly interrupting it and getting him to play with other toys that he cannot hump- Balls work nicely!
