Question
I recently moved out of my parents house and took any three year old westie. She went from having someone constantly home with her a backyard and a big house, to an apartment where she needs to be walked and left home all day. She has adjusted to the environment and likes going for long walks three times a day but everyday when I return from home I find that my dog pooped. I do not know how to prevent this since I am not home during the day and not able to come home to walk her during the day.

Is she mad at me for taking her away from the other environment? I am going to be able to retrain her to not do that. I honestly do not know what to do to solve this.
I would love some advise

Answer
If you or a neighbor cannot let her out at lunchtime, she needs to be confined while you are gone. Either put her in a crate or put her in the kitchen or other room behind a babygate. Some use an exercise pen if they have enough space to put one up.

I don't know how you are feeding your dog, but you might wait to feed her until you get home from work.
