QuestionI HAVE RECENTLY RECEIVED TWO MALE COCKAPOOS(LITTERMATES) THE PROBLEM I AM HAVING IS THE FIGHTING BETWEEN THE TWO. THE RUNT IS THE MOST VIOLENT AND JUST RECENTLY HE DREW BLOOD. THEY ARE JUST 3 MONTHS OLD. SHOULD I FINE A GOOD HOME FOR ONE OF THEM TO GO TO? OR WILL THE FIGHTING STOP WHEN THEY GET OLDER. ALSO MY VET SAID SOMETHING I HAD NEVER HEARD OF THAT I WOULD HAVE TO PULL THE HAIR OUT OF THEY EARS. HAVE YOU EVER HEARD OF THIS AND IF SO IS THERE A EASY WAY OF DOING THIS WITHOUT CAUSING MUCH PAIN.
AnswerIs it real fighting, or just rough play? Was the skin torn, or just a puppy tooth lost? I have never seen real fighting at that age. I am not sure what to say. Perhaps it would be best to separate them.
Ear infections can be a big problem. You might try just cutting the hair short. It allows air in to dry up the ear reducing infections.
