Question
Why would a Boston Terrier's ear tips curl back? He is 8 weeks old and his ears have not been cropped. Do you think they will stay that way as he grows to an adult?
Do you have an opinion?

Answer
If I was sure you would have gotten a better answer instead of a worse one, I would have sent your question to the question pool.  I know I don't have a real good answer, but can only guess at what others might know.

I can only speculate the ears were damaged at birth or it is a genetic thing.  Perhaps ear cropping started to eliminate such.  I do know a friend had a Lab whose one ear was turned out at the bottom as a young puppy, and it stayed that way as an adult.  There are occasional dogs whose ears fail to stand up at all in some of the erect ear breeds.  I see questions on Shepherds about that.  I have highly reliable information in many areas, but not the ears.
