submissive position and peeing when approaching anyone but me

Question
my 6 month old dauchsund slinks and assumes a  submissive position and pees when approaching anyone but me.  Is this behavioral or physical  What do I do

Answer
There is always a chance that this could be something physical, so your veterinarian should examine the dog to make sure this isn't the cause. Chances are, however, that it is more of a mental issue as this is not uncommon in young, sensitive dogs, who do sometimes outgrow it as they get older and more experienced.

Basically, ignore the dog when it does this, and keep all greetings very low-key and don't even look at the dog. Start taking the dog out in public as much as possible, and get it into obedience classes. Teach it a couple tricks to do so that you have something to praise it for doing. The dog is trying to show respect in dog language so should not be punished for this behavior as that will only make it worse.
