Keeping female dogs together

Question
I have 2 female dogs - a dachshund & another that is a mix. She is medium sized - possibly some greyhound.  They both get along very well together.  The dachshund is the boss.  A puppy rescue home has 2 chow chow puppies, both female.  I asked about getting one of them they said bringing another female into the home would not work.  When I explained that my 2 dogs are very good natured they said the dynamic would change. What is your opinion on keeping more than 2 female dogs in a home?

Answer
Same sex dogs can live together just fine it all depends on the dogs-I know someone with three females and there's never been a problem with any of them

So in my opinion if you introduce them slowly things will work out,the only way that there might be trouble is if one of the new ones wanted to be alpha, but that could happen regardless of the sex of the dog,but if it doesn't want to be alpha there should be no problem
