accicental pregnancy

Question
I was wondering about the "morning after pill" for dogs. There has been an "accident" in my dog friend group where a 60 LB pit bull "got" a 12 LB boston terrier today. I called a few vets. Some said there is a shot, some said it no longer exists, others said there is no such thing. I was also  curious about your oponion on that kind of pregnancy. The fear in our group is that she won't carry it very well
THANKS

Answer
There is always a chance that the bitch is not pregnant, but the easiest (and safest) way to terminate a pregnancy is to spay the bitch. Pregnancy can usually be determined around 20-24 days by a veterinarian.

Several years ago, a semi-feral cat took up residence in our barn, had kittens, and I took the lot in to be spayed when the kittens were 3 months old and still nursing. The mother was pregnant again already (I had been told this wouldn't happen as long as the kittens were still nursing... ya, right...)

Pregnancies can be terminated through the use of hormones, but that can cause pyometras on occasion.
