Anxious rescued Doberman

Question
Hi there...I rescued a couple of Dobermans a year and a half ago...one was a 14 month old who is a maniac and adapts easily to any situation though she chews if she's bored which is to be expected...the other one was a former breed champion who was bred quite a few times I suspect and has always been really nervous...we just moved to a new house and her anxiety has gone through the roof...she is chewing bald spots in her coat around her rear flanks and is peeing all over the place...there is a lot of activity going on with decorating etc and lots of people in and out all the time...she isn't handling it well at all and the swallowed fur is making her sick...what can we do to relieve this anxiety for her and help her adjust to her new surroundings?  I've rescued a number of dobes and have never run into a case this bad ever...thanks!

Cheers,
Jo

Answer
Well what is often done for anxiety for dogs is the same in people, they are often medicated which does help a lot,but it can only be done by a vet

Also there are dog behaviorists that specialize in dogs with anxiety, and they can come to your house and watch they way your dogs are and they will find the best approach for the dogs
