I am hoping to purchase a new member of our family.  I was raised with a Shih Tsu in the house, and now hope to buy one for our family.  I was wanting to know why breed of Shih Tsu would be a good fit for a family with three kids.  8, 4, 2  years old.  Anyone have an idea?

The best place would be to go to a breeder and get a purebred Shi Tzu and avoid designer dogs like 'shi poos' ect as those are bred by backyard breeders or by puppy millers and contribute to pet over population and they are not screened for temperment or health

However if you do want a Shi Tzu mix the best place would be a shelter,as shelters do get a number of Shi Tzu type dogs-avoid petstores as they come from puppy mills
