my yellow lab has blister like thing filled with blood on his chin and above his lip.  they dont seem to bother him, but when he plays he breaks them open. he started getting them on his chin first them his lip. my son took him to the vet and the vet said it was acne.

That sounds odd but I'm not going to sit here over the internet and refute what a veterinary doctor has told you. What I suggest you do is go to the Ask the Veterinarian section here at AllExperts - from the main menu its Animals/Pets, then Veterinary Medicine, then Ask the Veterinarian. One of the veterinarians, Dr. Louis Gotthelf, specializes in dermatology and this would be right up his alley. He only accepts 2 questions per 24 hour period and he is maxed out for this 24 hours, but if you keep checking back you can catch him when he's available to take one.
