I did not realize you only specialize in one breed as an expert till I looked u up more.
I want to get an Airdale for our family and was wondering how they are as pets for the family with two children of age 7 and 9

Hi Trudy-
I honestly cannot say how they would be with children.  Based on the GSP breed, however, they become how they are raised.  I would definately go and look at a few different Airdale parents before purchasing one.  See how they react to different situations.  The pups will be a lot like their parents.  I've also found that if you have a rather high strung dog, but raise it with lots of love and TLC, they turn out pretty decent.  Excercise also makes a WORLD of difference in the attitudes of dogs, as well as attention.  Sorry I couldn't help you out more, I've never had one nor known anyone that has.
