QuestionHi, I have a 5 yr old male english bull and a 3 year old pit/lab mix female. I have had these babies since they were just weeks old. Never a problem. Always were bonnie and clyde. Now they have started fighting and I mean kill each other kind. (blood and splatter) Both have had to have treatment at vet for deep puncture wounds and tears. I keep them seperate when I am at work and they wear muzzles when i have them togahter. they have a 2 acre back yard....They ride with me on the atv/boat/truck and are both very active. Not aggressive with people at all. Or my farm animals. What can I do.....This is like watching my children kill each other?
AnswerDebra, because of the seriousness of your situation I am not comfortable giving you advice. Without being able to actually see what is going on, I cannot even begin to help you. I would recommend that you try to find a local trainer who has experience dealing with dog-to-dog aggression. It would be nice if they could come to your house. You most DEFINITELY want a trainer that can work with you one-on-one - no group classes.
I'm sorry I cannot help you, but I would hate to assume, suggest something, and have you get bit or the dogs get hurt. I hope you understand.
