Potty Training a New 1 yearold Puppy

I just adopted a 1 year old puppy about a week ago. I need help. She potty's everywhere in my house, i do take her outside about every hour or so, but she still pottys in my house. I have a crate and i only put her in there if we are going out of the house for a while. If i put her in the crate, she howls and whines and wimpers and barks. I dont know what to do, i love her so much, i dont want to get rid of her.

The only really good way to housebreak a dog is by using confinement, such as a crate. She MUST be in there when you cannot watch her. If the noise bothers you, get some earplugs so that you can ignore her noise. **NEVER** let her out when she is fussing, or she will fuss worse the next time she wants out. Also be sure to have her checked to make sure that she doesn't have a bladder infection as it is impossible to housebreak a sick dog.
