reaction to gold

Question
I have a beagle lab mix adout 10 mths old every time she smells gold  like my wedding band she shakes her head and will back off but then she keeps doing it and then starts to drool,what is it about the gold?

Beagles have a really keen sense of smell., They are used as drug dogs, search and rescue and even as cancer detectors. All metals have a unique smell. Our senses are just not accute enough to detect them. Evidentally, hers are :).
Sometimes both good and bad smells can make you drool. (think lemon,. or chocolate LOL). Remember that's just my opinion. I think I would discourage her from smelling it. Again, just my opinion.
