MIN PINS AND PLAYMATES

I have a female min pin and have heard they do better with another in the house.  Is this true and if so would it be better to get another female or male min pin?

I am not that familiar with miniature pinschers, but all dogs are pack animals and most dogs do enjoy having a "bunk mate" in the house. The best combination is one of each sex, as long as both (or the bitch anyway) are neutered. If one gets two of the same sex, that will often work well, too, as long as one makes sure that they are not at the same level of dominance (you want one more dominant; one more submissive).

Having two dogs at the same time is absolutely THE BEST! Their antics are very entertaining, they will keep you in stitches, and it is easy to take care of two at the same time. (More than two DOES make for more work.) Vet costs will increase, but yours have basically no grooming, other than nails, so little to no expense there for you. With multiple dogs, buying a larger bag of dog food will keep the food costs down a bit.
