Question
Hi Nancy...

I've recently bought a 1 year and 10 months old Siberian Husky
and is trying to get the things she may need right now im trying to find the best chew toys for her I just recently bought a kong which from what i have read is highly recommended by most dog owners

now i have my eye on the following:
1. Nylabone Dura-Chew Double Action Combo Bone Chew Toy, Souper
2. Nylabone Dura Chew Knot Original Bone
3. Hurley
4. Jive dog ball

I've read that raw hide bones are very dangerous to dogs and also toys that easily damaged and break to big pieces that dog could eat and damage their organs, so id like to ask for your comment if you know these toys I have my eyes on and is there any toy you would recommend?

I'm mostly away during the day so she's often alone at home and I dont want her to be too lonely while im gone so hopefully I could find a toy that would keep her busy..

many thanks in advance and Happy New Year

Answer
Hi,
Looks like you have a good start there.  There used to be a ball out that giggled when it rolled, my dogs loved it, but I can't find it anymore.  That was a good toy.  Also, the soft animals without stuffing is good.  The Kong toys are great, but they figure them out pretty quickly.  I tried to find the ball that you talk into and it talks back during the day when they touch it.  I haven't had much luck.  If I do find one I will e-mail you again as a follow up.  Here is a nice toy at Petsmart:

It looks pretty durable, too.

I give my dogs pig ears, which are digestible, but you must be around just in case they don't chew it, in which case they can't have it again.  I also like the Chewable busy bones.  My dogs love the Chewnoala and Busy Bone.  The Busy bone is one you don't have to be around when they have it, the chewnoala you must watch them.   The rolled pork skins are good and they sell antlers, too.

Hope this helps.  I'll keep looking for the talking and giggle ball.
