QuestionHello,
I have 3 month old puppy. At the moment I am feeding him with Acana Grassland. Dog eats it normally, but poops about 6 times a day. When I said it to my veterinarian he suggested to change food into "Specific", but in this food ingredients list meat is only in 4 or 5 place. Could you suggest what food should I choose (in my country I can choose from Acana, Canidean, Orijen, Hill's, Brit)?
Thank You for the answer.
AnswerHi Tomas,
The best food for your puppy is a puppy food, for his first full year. Acana Grassland does make a puppy formula. If that isn't the food you're currently using, you might want to try that, and see if your puppy is better on that.
I'm not in Canada, so I can't recommend a specific brand, you need to read the labels of any food you're considering.
The following super premium puppy foods are available in the USA, they also may be available in Canada:
Wellness Just for Puppy

Bil-Jac puppy food

If you plan on changing your puppy's diet, you need to do so gradually, over a period of 5-7 days. Changing a puppy's (or dog's) diet too quickly can cause diarrhea.
Best of luck,
