Dog nails

Hi,

my dog Rolly is a pomeranian x terrier, and his nails are too dark to see how far they can be clipped. I was wondering if you knew of anything other than nail clippers and a file that I could use to get his nails down?

Any help would be greatly appreciated

the best thing to do is get a Dremmel from the hardware store. Use a fine sand paper nib and do a bit at a time. Keep some styptic powder nearby should you have to use the nail clipper if he does not like the sound of the Dremmel. Make sure the clipper has sharp blades so it does not splinter the nail.
Other wise you will have to take the dog to the vet to have it done.
