Bichon (castration)

HI,

I just got my dog castrated four days ago.  Ever since he has not got out of his bed and gone up or down the stairs where we usually hang out to watch t.v.  and when he does he puts his butt on the floor and drags himself a bit.  IS this normal behaviour?  IF so how long does it last.  He usually listens to me and my husband on comand and ever since his castration he does not come to me when I call him.??? i'm soo confused cause some vets say it takes a few days to get back to normal and some say he should have gotten back to normal the day after (24 hours).  I"m starting to get scared he will change and never be the same dog?  Please give me advice

I personally have never had any problems.  But I think if you are babying him HE may think that he should have a problem.  Pick up his bed.  Don't cater to him.  Act as if he was the same dog.  
Either that OR take him back to he vet that did the neuter and have him take a look at it.  Nothing wrong with getting his opinion.
