getting a pug pup

QUESTION: hey,I am a 12 year old girl from India.I have two main questions.1)I want to get a pug puppy.I know they suffer from heat stroke but many people in India have pugs but will they be able to tolerate the heat in summer?
2)As I am only a 12 year old girl,I love to play.will a pug play with me like the game of fetch or just chasing or going for walks?

ANSWER: Pugs love kids so that would be a perfet match for you. They also love to play dress up. When it is hot, we only let our pugs go outside to potty and then right back in the air conditioning. You are correct in that heat can kill them very quickly.

They also love to play, going for walks and tug of war. Again, just do not let them get overheated.

Hi Khushi, yes, of course, you can take them out to potty but if it is really hot, then right back in to the air conditioning. Where I live if it is really humid, 70 degrees can be too hot for them to take walks. But going out to potty is fine as long as they are not out too long.
