My poodle is loosing his hair

My apricot toy poodle is loosing his hair on his back right leg. When I asked the vet she said that this was because of the rabies shot and that it is popular in toy poodles that are light colored.... Is this true. It seems like he is loosing more hair, just from when I talked to the vet about 1mth. ago.

Feed a decent chow and little else, brush regularly, and bathe the dog seldom if ever.  If it still has the spot, try ''Ask a Vet'' here.  

I can't say how common the problem is.  If you read my profile, you saw I don't claim extensive experience with Poodles, but I am doing what I can.
