Mature Weight?

Question
Hello, I'm curious when does a toy or teacup poodle reach their mature weight????

Answer
Hello Becky,
Most Poodles reach their mature height and weight around 9-11 months of age, give or take a month.  They tend to fill out a bit beyond that time, but generally they will get their full size around that time.

Their Height and Weight will usually depend on genetics and their enviroment, health and diet so giving a guess as to how big they will be is a bit difficult.  If you know how big the parents are, that will help give you an idea for how big your puppy will be.  Also, if they have siblings that are older than your puppy, you can sometimes go by looking at them.

The Standard for a Toy Poodle is no taller than 10" at the shoulder and they tend to weight around 5 lbs-9 lbs.  There is no height regulation on the Teacups at this time to my knowledge.  The weight on a Teacup can vary from 2.2. lbs-5 lbs.
This can vary from dog to dog though.

Well, I hope this has helped you some.  If you have other questions about this or questions in general, please feel free to ask.
