Question
I have a 13 year old toy poodle who has had diarrhea for the last 14 days.....we have had blood work done, x-rays, ultrasounds and loads of meds! we cannot get the diarrhea to stop, rectum and anal area are blood red and swollen!  She is in terrible pain.  Any suggestions

Hello Jennifer,
Since you have already seen your Vet, about the only thing that I can suggest is to try Kao Pectate to help with the diarrhea, and you might put some diper cream (like A&D or Desitin) on her rectum to help with the redness and swelling.(just watch so that she doesn't try to lick it off)

You might also ask some of the Vets on this site.  Go to the Main Menu, go to Pets, and click on the Vets section.
