Knee surgergy or injections???

Question
Hi, My mini poodle JOJO is 6 yrs. old and has had bad joints since very young. He takes a pill for it with vitamins from the Vet. A day ago his leg looked to come out of so we took him to the vet. He needs knee surgery or injections.  What would you recommend??? I see he is holding up one knee to walk. We just got the $ Quotes from his Vet today.
Thank you for your comments.

Answer
Hello Carol,
Sorry it took so long to answer your question.  I would suggest the surgery because even though its more risky and invasive, it is a long term fix, rather than the shots that he will have to continue to have to receive.  I would dicuss both options with your Vet, but I think surgery would be the better option now for your dog.

I hope this helps you some and if you have other questions for me, please feel free to ask.
