Sickness

I just purchased a teacup poodle last night.  He is 7 weeks old.  He got sick on the way to our house and he has gotten sick a few more times.  is that normal?  We are taking him to the vet this afternoon for a physical but I was a little worried about him.

Hello Christy,
Your dog is probably just suffering from the adjustment of going from one home to another.  Car rides can upset a dogs tummy and make him sick.  Give him some water, but don't let him eat tonight, (unless its about a 1/2 handful or so) which will help him settle his stomach.  

In the morning, he should be feeling better.  Slowly give him more food until he is eating normally (a small handful, then a little bit more thoughout the day) If he doesnt' settle after that, you can give him 1cc of Pepto Bismol.
