My pit bull is losing hair again.

Well, I have a eight month old pit bull.  I got her from my boyfriends uncle.  When she was a puppy and I started putting her outside she got bad hot spots.  She now has a long scar from those hot spots.  The vet said she'd never grow hair.  Now I switched her to I believe it's the chicken flavored Diamond, hoping it would improve her coat.  Now she is losing small patches of hair, on her nose, beneath her eye, and on her side.  I am worried it is something really serious but my aunt has pits and she said her pit had a reaction to the change of food. If you could please give me some suggestions.  Thanks.

You'd have to ask the vet.  it could be some sort of mange or mites, they may need to do a skin scraping and look at it under a microscope.  She may need medication.  May want to switch to a dog food for allergies, such as California Naturals, Natural Balance Fish & Sweet Potato (petco), or other.
