Labrador Nose

Question
We have a 1 1/2 year old yellow lab (male).  Over the past six months his nose has gone from black to pink...I understand this is normal for yellow labs.   A co-worker of mine told me that the "pink nose" that yellow labs get has a particular name.  Do you know what it is called?

I have never heard of this jsut happening but I do know that if they are in the sun for a long time daily there nose will turn pink due to a sun burn and will remain that way for life, it is also painful so if you think its a sun burn go to a vet and get treatment from him/her.
