Question
my labrador retriever is three and one-half years old. what, how much, and how often should i feed her. she gets a moderate amount of exercise.

Answer
Hello Daryl and thank you for your questions.

I personaly feed my two dogs( A 2 year old labrador retriver...female and a 1 year old Jack russell terreir... male) Authority from petsmart, Its made for petsmart and isnt avalible else where so if you don't have a petsmart near you then this wont work. I like the Nutro brand products but my dogs didnt really like it... they liked it for two weeks then say this stuff is gross lol. Some other good choices are: FirstMate, Technical, Nutreance & Eagalpack for food containing by-products which in turn are lesser quaility are: Peddigree, Purina and Purina One & beniful, There are cheaper foods out there like ol'roy and kibbles'n'bits but they are really not good for your dog. I highly reccomend starting on either the Authority or the Nutro(any nutro food is good quaility there are three types at the moment, #1 Nutro Max, #2 Nutro Natural Choice & #3 Nutro Natural Choice Ultra).

Feed according to the bags guidelines. And to tell you the trusth I free feed my dogs simply because I have *never been able to get them to eat it as soon as it goes down... not even a few minutes after it goes down so it stays down all day, Both dogs are healthy, Happy and not over weight but do bear in mind if you free feed that you exercise him or her at lest once a day(a short walk or a game of fetch ect.).

I hope this helps if you have any further questions feel free to ask,

~Tara.
