Question
I have a 5 month old mix Labrador and have been feeding him Purina Healthy Morsels since I got him from an animal clinic a month ago because that was what they were feeding him.  Lately I have noticed that he wasn't really eating it all. How many cups do you really have to feed a 5 month old Lab? Do I have to buy puppy food for large breed specifically? Which product would you recommend for a large breed pup?  Thank you so much!

Answer
Hello Lala and thank you for your questions,

I would go for a large breed formula if you think he will be over 50 pounds when fully grown. Pup's get picky when teething or when they jsut decide they don't want the same food day in day out anymmore...it happens. I feed puppies until the age of 10 months as much as they want whenever they will eat it so I do not know really how much to feed a lab mix...I do not know its weight to start, It also counts if you feed cheap food the dog eats more if you feed expensive food the dog eats less and poops lees also. I reccomend Authority avalible only at petsmart stores it is high quaility moderitly priced and my dogs love it and thrive quite well on itn then theres purina one, technical, nutro and nutreance for high quaility foods. I nevr dip lower then the purian one for cheapness just because but you can try beaniful/peddigree or purina puppy chow if you'd like.
