type of dogfood

is it ok if i feed my 8 month old lab with adult dogfood? what are the effects if i do this? would there be a difference when feeding puppy food and adult food?

It is not only OK, but a good practice.  Puppy chow is carefully formulated to maximize growth.  Unfortunately in large breeds, it frequently is at the expense of sturdy joints.  An early switch to adult chow delays reaching the full adult size putting less strain on developing joints.  For the same reason, it is important o keep the dog lean, see http://www.longliveyourdog.com/twoplus/RateYourDog.aspx
