I have a black lab almost 2now who has always been a clean girl, but reciently she has taken to going to the toilet at the bottom of the stairs during the night.she is always let out late before we go to bed and is walked plenty during the day,she also does not get fed after 5.many thanks.

Urine or poop? If it is urine, I would take her to the vet and ask them to check for a Urinary Tract Infection. If it is poop, and it is a normal consistency, I personally would start crating the dog again so that she doesn't have free roam of the house at night. If it's NOT normal consistency, you may want to have the vet check for parasites.
