Question
My daughter has had a chocolate labrador puppy since 8 weeks old.  He is now 8 months.   He is still chewing everything in sight and is wrecking her house and garden.   She walks him for half an hour a day.   Is this enough?   I am wondering if he is getting bored and needs to expend more energy.

Answer
No 1/2 hour a day is really not enough.  He IS bored, you are right there.  The dog will probably need about 1 hour in the AM and 1 hour in the PM of activity.  The 1/2 hr walk can be combined with 1/2 hr of our play in the yard.  And then do that 2x a day.

The dog should be crated when she is not at home and still under 100% supervision if it can't be trusted.
