lab puppy ear change

Question
Hi
We got a puppy who had normal looking ears.  But at times her right ear would protrude out to the side..crease in half and look perky.  It looks like this also when she gets excited or when she runs to you, but with both ears.  Her right ear now in the past few days has stayed like this and has not gone back flat like it use to.  I have been reading that it can be due to teething starting at 4 months old.  She is 4 months old now.  Is this true?   I wanted to know if you have seen this and if it can be related to teething.  Her ears are clean and have no odor.  Thanks!

Answer
I doubt teething has anything to do wit it.  It could be a behavior thing.  They do have control over their ears.

One other thing is that is is possible she is crossed with something else that has erect ears and they are starting to stand.  You could check DNA, http://www.biopetvetlab.com/dnahome.htm http://www.wisdompanel.com/
