Question
hi i have a black male lab now he is 2 years old.
now a days his body weight is increasing rapidly. he is around 4okg.
eventhough he exercising very well but his weight didnt come down..... my vet ask me to reduce his weight..... any one help me regarding this.......

Answer
Overweight is very hard on dogs, reducing their life span the same as us.  If your vet says your dog needs to lose weight, and it is getting plenty of exercise, then you need to feed it less.  If you are feeding it anything except dog chow, cut that out first.  Commercial dog chows are carefully formulated to provide all a dog needs.  The charts on the package are just starting points.  Some dogs need more, and some less.  In addition to what your vet says, check your dog yourself, see http://www.longliveyourdog.com/twoplus/RateYourDog.aspx

Note, most Labs will gulp down more than they need and look for more.
