Questionmy 8 month old lab kicks his back left leg out to the side when he running. Is this a sign of of hip dysplasia
AnswerHi Colin,
without seeing your dog, i cannot comment on this. However, if you feel there is something to be concerned about - please visit your vet immediately. Dysplasia is curable.
Typical symptoms:
- Extremely tired after some playing or exercise
- He finds it difficult to stretch his rear muscles
- He is slow and not so active
- He whines in pain if you squeeze his muscles
- Any kind of stiffness in the leg muscle
Do not worry though - this is completely curable. but i suggest you pay a visit to your VET immediately.
best,
Sam
