hi my dog aprox13 month has an ear problem his inside or not hair coverd side of his ear (flaps?) are coverd with a kind of scaley roughness that ithes very bad i have had many dogs and have encounterd ear mites but his inner ear is clean its almost like sorriossis but not inflamed except where he is always scratching and shaking his head. please help me help him,i love him. thanx. garycrews62@yahoo.com

Ear mites are easy to fix, but other ear troubles may not be. The ear may be infected. In that case, the vet must give you antibiotics to clear it up. It could be more of a surface problem. Cleaning it every day with water with a little vinegar in for a week or 2 may clear it up. Get the worst with a cotton ball and they finish up with a Q-tip. Go ahead and work back into the ear.
