Question
my labrador has yellow eyes, huge head, huge chest,is he ridgeback? or is he true labrador? i am so confused. secondly my kc registered labrador bitch is pregnant, what do i say they are? labradors?

Answer
Labs can have yellow or gold eyes, however, that is not a preferred color in the standard and the dog should not have been bred if it's pedigree is in question and if he does not conform to the breed standard.

He may or may not be a purebred labrador, but there is no way for me to know.  That is why it's important to buy only registered puppies and keep their pedigrees safe.

If you have a litter on the way, you will most likely have to sell them as unregisterable labradors without pedigrees, and just leave it at that.  I would also consider nuetering him as he does not have the correct color eyes for the breed.  I am sure he's a lovely pet and castrating him will not change the love he'll give your family.
