Question
my dog is  very fussy eating i have tried several variety of dry kibble  and mixed with chicken and gravy and without gravy i am now trying  tin food but still not eating  all regularly is there a reason he will be 1 in january

Answer
Dogs can be fussy and if you change everytime they don't eat, you could be compounding the problem even more.  As long as you are feeding a good quality dry food, you can enhance it by adding warm water to it, sometimes a little canned food helps.  Sometimes a little yogurt or cottage cheese, left over meat or veggies from dinner.  I have even added a dab of peanut butter to the rim to get mine to eat.

A lab typically won't miss too many meals, so you could also just pick the food up after 15 minutes and if he misses his dinner, it's OK.  He'll be hungrier in the AM and start to learn that you won't be fussing with him.  He either eats when it's time or he gets no meal.

Another thing to consider is SOME labs will self regulate their food.  I know it's typical for a lab to eat alot, but some will be more careful.  You might want to consider cutting back the food by a 1/4 amount of kibble eat meal, and as he gets hungrier he'll want to eat more, if he needs more.  In the winter without alot of exercise, they don't need as much food as they might in the summer.

Good luck.
