Question
Milley was adopted into our home at 4 months age, no problems with other dog until a chew bone incident where the Carin thought all bones hers, eliminted the bones after older dog fought badly with JRT twice, this was 3 months ago. NOW the real problems comes in, now at 9 mnths of age, in the last 14 days the JRT has ATTACKED to the neck the Carin, no food, bones etc involved. I had been gone all day, my husband was home in the afternoon, I come home pick up JRT love on her, set her down, stood up, my earring falls out next to carin, the JRT charges her attacks her, and with the intent to harm/kill. carin is 22 pounds, milley is 14 pounds. Put milley outside on leash for 1 hour, while I cleaned up the carin, blood drawn in 3 places, that night I put Miley on her sleep pillow and implemted what I thought firm decisive discipline, all was well for a week, then again, walking from my office into kitchen, nothing involved, one dog on either side, JRT attacked carin again, with the intent to harm/kill, my husband could barely pull her off after MUCH effort. I don't no how to prevent this from happening again, at this time Miley is crated in the garage at night, has movement on a leash in the backyard away from carin, she has not been allowed back in the house since the last attack. PLEASE PLEASE tell me where to start. We love this dog, and I am prepared to be the Alpha Dog, just don't no how to go about it. We live in Central Illinois, is there a training professional I can work with, vidoes, books you could suggest. WE are at our wits end here. Please help.  Penny

Answer
Hi Penny,
I'm sorry you're having so much trouble with your dog. I have done some research in your area and found someone who has an excellent reputation for training aggressive dogs. I agree with his techniques and think he will be able to help you vith Milley. Don't wait! Call and get help now or it will only escalate and you may end up with serious and severe injuries. If Abe can't help you, ask him to refer you to someone who can. Good luck!!
