Question
What type of food should I feed my dog? I have only had him about 1 month. The girl I got him from told me to feed him Iams, but he will not eat it.
The only kind he will eat is soft canned food and it makes him throw up.

Thank you Ed

Answer
Hello Ed,

Whatever you do, don't feed him soft food. It's not good for their teeth, breath, or overall health. It's OK as a treat once in a while but get him on a crunchy healthy food. I use ProPac food for all my dogs. You can't buy it at a commercial pet store like PetCo or PetSmart, it's only sold in "feed" stores, however, it is LESS expensive than the junk you get like Iams at those stores. Here is the link to their website that you can put in your zip code and find a store near you that sells it.  If there is no store near you, you can buy it online. It's good solid nutrition, was never ever recalled, never ever made in China, doesn't use grains as the main ingredient and is really good for them.
Don't feed table scraps or give in. Eventually your dog WILL eat it when he is hungry enough. No dog has ever ever starved itself.
The Propac won't make him throw up and is easily digestible.
If for some reason he continues to be sick, you should have him checked out by the veterinarian to make sure he isn't ill.
Take care, best of luck.
