Jack Russell males

Question
I have two male Jack Russells, one is a few months shy of 2 years old, and the other shy of the age of 1. They were fine together up until recent. They fight constantly to the point where i cannot keep them in the same room, they've drawn blood on each other and im afraid if i put them together somthing serious could happen. Do you have any suggestions that could help my family and i? Or would nuetering them solve this problum? Or after they are neutered, and they have spent about a month apart, could they get back together? Please contact me as soon as possible, i cant keep my Jacks in seperate rooms anymore...

Answer
Hi Marge,
Neutering will definitely help but might not get rid of ALL the aggression. Did something happen in your house that changed? Did you start a new job? A new baby? Anything that is making things different than they used to be? Anything that is causing them stress?
Are they both up to date on their vaccinations? Especially rabies? There could be a medical cause. It's hard to answer without more info but I suggest taking them to the vet to check out any physical changes going on first. Pain causes aggression too. Could one of them be in pain?
For now, keep them apart for everyone's safety. Take turns with leaving one of them in a crate. You obviously can't live like this so rule out any physical causes first.
I wish you the very best of luck
Carol
