symptoms of female jack russell in heat. we just adopted this cute 10 month old and not sure of when we can have her fixed. we have had her only 1 month and have started her shots.

Have her spayed right now. Usually it's done between month 4-6, and first heat is usually around their first birthday but it can vary from dog to dog. You are safe to have her done right now - it's a good time. Congratulations on Lucy! That's one of my dogs names! I've no doubt she's adorable!
