How often should you bath your Jack russell

Unless he/she is dirty, keep bathing to a minimum.
Jacks, especially smooth coats are very easy to care for.
I only bathe my jacks if they roll in something or get wet and muddy. Over shampoo-ing can dry the coat out and cause dandruff. For regular care, once a month or less is more than enough. Don't use human shampoo, use a gently puppy shampoo. I use the brand name CRAZY DOG, Baby Dog shampoo. It smells clean and is gentle on the coat/skin. Less is best.  Good luck!
