At the ripe age of 11 for a Great Dane, you will begin to notice that they loose weight and muscle toning all over their body, not just their hind quarters...If she begins to loose weight rapidly, there maybe some underlying medical problem going on and she needs to be seen by a vet. I would recommend a blood panel to ensure that she doesn't have a thyroid problem or something going on as far as kidney failure ect...

As you probably know, 11 years is very old for a Dane, so congratulations, you have done a wonderful job caring for your dog!
