Lazy Golden

Question
I have a 6 month old golden. He is so lazy that we have started calling him Lump. He goes on walks with us and plays in the yard when he is out.  I actually think he hates running. He is by no means hyper or high strung. He is intelligent, attentive and strong willed. Other than small outbursts, he acts more like a mature dog. Because of this personality, we jokingly say he is an intellect and not a jock.  The vet says he is a beautiful healthy dog. He matches my personality well, but I am starting to wander if something is wrong with him. I feel like I have the handicapped dog at the dog park because he doesn't have this hyper melt down like the other dogs.  Am I just blessed or should I worry about him?

Answer
Hi, Nonie,

As long as your vet has given him a thorough check (heart, bloodwork, etc.) and finds nothing unusual, I wouldn't worry.

We have a golden that is 12 now and has never been very active.  (By the way, is he blonde?  Most of the less active goldens seem to be blonde, the red ones seem to be more energetic.)
