dry vs. canned food serving size

Hi Labman,

Is 1 and 1/2 cups of dry dog food equal to 1 and 1/2 cups of canned food?  I've been feeding my dog 1 and 1/2 cups of dry food twice a day.  I recently purchased senstitive diet canned food (for days when he has a sensitive stomach) and when I put 1 and 1/2 cups of canned food in his bowl it just seems like a lot more food.

I have too little experience with canned to say.  Canned is all food, where dry may be 40% air.  Might cut back to a cup.  Also compare the guidelines on the packages.  They are only starting points.  You really need to adjust his food using this illustrated guide, http://www.puppychow.com/products/popup_body_condition.aspx
